Writer’s Block
I only have 20 minutes to write about something but I have no Idea what to write about. I still feel sleepy and hungry! On top of that I also need a clean desk immediately as it is a mess! Anyway I decided to just freestyle it.
I hope Topic, Purpose and Keywords will somehow appear afterwards by themselves. Is this what the writer’s block is all about? Okay okay! Let’s get creative now – I will write about the first thing that I saw today that made me think – my messy desk.
Tolerance & a clean desk
We all know what it looks like…. you go to your desk and it is absolute chaos! Depending on your disgust tolerance(a personality dimension we all have – some score higher, some lower) you may start cleaning it immediately or you may decide to tolerate it for a few minutes, hours or even days. Hell, even weeks in some cases… And no. I’m not speaking out of experience, I would never leave my desk a mess for weeks. In my case I want to clean it now! Basically it’s been like that for a few days and it’s really starting to get on my nerves. It really bothers me.
Well I guess I’ll have to wait till the break. Gosh Imagine the feeling…! 🙂 The clarity it will give me. I can’t measure stress levels but If I could I am sure they would be lower after I had cleaned my desk. In addition to clarity and lower stress levels below are some of the benefits I think it would give me.
Advantages of a clean desk
Creative: I find that a clean and organized desk inspires creativity. Another key point is that my mind would feel less messy, allowing for more free-flowing thoughts and ideas instead of having to write about messy desks. It would create a positive and energizing atmosphere that would encourage my creative thinking.
Motivated: I also feel like a clean desk would give me a sense of motivation for handling new tasks. It would give me a sense of preparedness, making it easier to start and stay focused on my work and my todo items.
Confident: Having a clean desk would also instill a sense of confidence and professionalism. I also think a clean desk reflects on my ability to stay organized and on top of things, which would have a positive impact on my self-esteem and make me turn my camera on.
That’s it! More than 400 words! My desk is messy but I’m grateful as it gave me something to write about. All things considered, I can’t wait to clean it. See you next time on our blog! 🙂
